Organizational History
Mankulam Grama Panchayat is located in Devikulam block of Devikulam taluk of Idukki district. Formed on 2nd October 2000, this panchayat is included in Mankulam village limits. This panchayat, with an area of 123 sq km, is bordered by Munnar panchayat on the north, Adimali panchayat on the south, Munnar and Pallivasal panchayats on the east, and Kuttampuzha and Adimali panchayats on the west. The main crops of Mankulam panchayat, which falls in the Malanad region due to its topography, are rubber, cocoa, kavung, cardamom, caste, coffee, kodi, coconut, etc. Nallathannipuzha, Mankulam river, and Etachola river are the main water sources of the panchayat.
